The Victoria and Albert Museum, or the V&A museum for short, is the worlds greatest museum of art and design and is home to over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852, and was originally known as the South Kensington Museum. Now, the V&A museum covers more than 12.5 acres and has 145 galleries, they aren’t all open at the same time, however! It contains 5000 years of art from all cultures, from all over the world, including photography, sculptures, art and textiles. It is on the same road - Exhibition Road, as the Natural History Museum and The Science Museum.
