The Tate Gallery - four museums dotted around the UK under the following names: Tate Liverpool, Tate Modern, Tate St Ives and the Tate Britain, which is what I am going to concentrate on now. It is the National Museum of British and Modern Art, and again, is a free attraction for you to visit. Some fees may apply for special exhibitions.

This is open daily from 10am to 5.50pm and you can make the journey to this attraction an adventure too! Travel to the museum on the Tate Boat, that travels along the River Thames between the Tate Britain, the London Eye and the Tate Modern. If traveling by water is not your thing, you can get to the museum by any one of the capital’s methods of public transport - underground, bus, coach or rail. There is even a taxi point right outside of the museum, so you won’t have to walk very far!
