Windsor Castle

Over 900 years of royal history is perched high above the River Thames just outside of London waiting for you at Windsor Castle. From William the Conqueror through to the current Queen, successive monarchs have lived at Windsor Castle and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Your ticket allows entrance to the castle so you can see for yourself the splendor of St. Georges chapel and the state apartments. Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs. Shakespeare is said to have written his play The Merry Wives of Windsor in one of them! After visiting Windsor, drive through Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta. Following a visit you head for Kew for a traditional pub lunch (not included in tour price).

Kew Gardens

With its Royal heritage, historic buildings and 300 acres of green space, Kew is much more than a garden. It is home to stunning vistas, an impressive aborted and ornate glasshouse, not to mention some of the rarest plants on the planet. Kew Palace

Warwick Castle

Stratford upon Avon

Birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language, and home to the theatres of the famous Royal Shakespeare Company. A river winds its way through the town past Holy Trinity church, where Shakespeare is buried. There are half-wooden buildings which date back to Shakespeare's time, including the cottage of Anne Hathaway, who married the writer in 1582. You will visit Shakespeare's birthplace, before lunch in a 15th century pub in the picturesque Cotswolds.

Oxford

Oxford boasts one of the world's greatest and oldest universities, as well as some of the finest architecture in Europe. The colleges themselves are amongst the highlights, their ivy-clad stone walls protecting beautiful chapels, halls and libraries. Take a private tour away from the crowds which journeys through the Alice in Wonderland Gardens (normally out of bounds to the public) where Alice chased her Cheshire cat.

The grandest of the colleges is Christ Church, home to Oxford's cathedral and the university's largest quad. So atmospheric is the dining hall that it was chosen as a key location in a Harry Potter film, and its here you will linger for a special Champagne reception in the Gardens (April to October only) or the Great Hall.
